Donate to help provide assistance to those impacted by the Roosevelt Fire in Western Wyoming
The Roosevelt Fire is currently burning in Western Wyoming in Sublette County. It is over 51,864 acres and the road from Pinedale to Jackson (Hwy 191) has been closed due to its fast spread. 46 homes have been lost so far. Containment only 35% (as of Sept. 28). There will be years’ worth of work rebuilding infrastructure. Funds will be distributed by the Pinedale Lions Club. 100% of all funds donated will go to the community (no administrative costs). Listed below are a number of ways to support the work of Lions in Wyoming through donations to the Lions of Wyoming Foundation: Friends of the Foundation, Gold/Silver/Bronze Lions, Bricks and Stones in the Wall of Honor, or donating to the Foundation for the grants program/operating expenses. Scroll down for descriptions of each....
Both Lions and Non-Lions are invited to support the work of the Lions of Wyoming Foundation by making an annual contribution of $20 to help with the operating expenses and grants to local clubs for assistance with local projects. The initial donation entitles the giver to receive a distinctive pin and first year "dangler." Each subsequent annual donation will earn an additional "dangler" to hang from the original pin. We have a series of awards for large undesignated donations (Bronze, Silver, and Gold Lions). Undesignated donations go to support grants to clubs that have projects that are too large to handle on their own, such as assisting a local resident with a surgery, purchasing a prosthetic eye, purchasing PediaVision equipment for Early Childhood Vision Screening to name only a few.
For each subsequent annual donation a numbered "dangler" (representing the number of years donations have been made) will be given to the donor to add to their "Friends" pin. Please note, you do not need to be a Lion member to be a Friend of the Foundation.
